Ephraim City has been awarded a $998,500 Feasibility Study Grant from the DOT’s RAISE program to develop a comprehensive plan, including maps and designs, for a potential bike path network. The study will focus on Snow College’s campus and other key student destinations such as Walmart, health clinics, various campus locations, and so much more.
Additionally, the study will evaluate the feasibility of bike share stations throughout Ephraim City, providing a convenient transportation option for both the community and college students.

Community input will play a vital role throughout the process, and we are hopeful that this initiative will help create safer, more walkable, and bike-friendly communities. Cycle Sanpete believes that a well-designed bike path network offers numerous benefits, including:
Reduced traffic congestion
Less stress for college students without cars
Increased connectivity
Strengthened community bonds
Enhanced financial resilience
Greater equity and opportunity
A boost to the small-town charm
Increased access to local businesses
Higher enrollment rates at Snow College
Growth in tourism
Improved quality of life
A stronger community appeal
Once the study is complete, the goal is to apply again to the DOT’s RAISE program for construction funding. Cycle Sanpete is grateful that Ephraim City is taking proactive steps to improve life for both residents and students. We wholeheartedly support this project and commend Ephraim City for leading the way toward a sustainable and vibrant future for generations to come. Hats off to them!
